I wrote this song, ‘I’m Taking the Train,’ (featuring the Woodshed Orchestra) as the Artist on board the VIA Rail train, ‘The Ocean’ that travels from Montreal to Halifax. Filmmaker Dave McCallum of Lightstruck Film & Media created this video using footage I captured with my iPhone on board, ‘The Canadian’ that travels from Toronto to Vancouver.
A spoken word tip-of-the-hat to the harvesting of corn in southern Ontario, Painted Yellow is on my 2006 record, ‘Curving for the Coast.’ Filmmaker James Greatrex (ASIF Films) created this video that features old time fiddle and banjo duo Sheesham & Lotus.
