DESCRIPTION

Their first musical endeavor as a duo after parting ways with the Bourbon Tabernacle Choir, Other People's Heavens showcases the amazing vocal talents of the angelic Kate Fenner and the prolific keyboard stylings and vocals of Chris Brown.

The first track, "Snow," starts out with haunting keyboards that are soon joined by Fenner's ethereal and powerful voice. Brown is the principal songwriter of the duo, with a real talent for writing thought-provoking political songs that somehow manage to keep the feet tapping and the mind racing at the same time; he also harmonizes beautifully with Fenner throughout. Although reminiscent of their earlier work with the Bourbon Tabernacle Choir, this album has a depth and maturity to it that shows how much Brown and Fenner have grown. Standout tracks are "Snow," "Whoever Built This Would Never Live Here," "Claim the Ashes," and "Resistance."
