Hollow Body

Hollow Body

Rushed back into service soon after being declared obsolete, the venerable Wolfe Islander III spent the winter grinding its way through the relentless vise of ice bordering its narrow channel to Marysville, ferrying the similarly veteran musicians of Hollow Body across Lake Ontario, from Kingston, to perform this collection of songs on stage at The Hotel Wolfe Island. A recording engineered by preeminent sound technician Jake Bury on site at the hotel, Hollow Body Live at the Hotel Wolfe Island marks a cold and dark winter lit and warmed by youthful rock and roll dreams channelled through worn hands.

Seven songs about car crashes (figurative and literal), haunting fathers, and magical children, this album trumpets the debut of a galvanic new collective of Kingston musical talent (dare we say Supergroup?). Hollow Body brings together Kingstown neighbours and friends Greg Tilson (guitar), Paul Clifford (bass), and Jay Middaugh (drums). Shaping original songs in the molds of their 90’s influences, Hollow Body is exciting, dynamic, a little bit sleepy, and ready to rock. The best time to start a band might be when you’re 17; the second best time is right now.
